Emergency Rescue: 12 dogs with nowhere else to go
When an elderly rescuer in Union City, TN had a health crisis from which they may never fully recover, ARC deployed for an emergency rescue. A Good Samaritan rescuer from south Mississippi had raced to Tennesseee and stayed on site for a couple of weeks taking care of the dogs, but urgently needed to return home. But these dogs had nowhere else to go, and the two rescuers had nowhere else to turn.
In cases like these, ARC steps up. On September 28th, ARC brought 12 of the dogs back to the Rescue Center for care. Next, each of these dogs will be matched among our nationwide network of vetted placement partners in high-adoption regions. Once ARC and our partners have transported them there, each of them will go on to find a loving home and the safety and security that every dog deserves.
ARC was founded to help animals suffering in situations just like this one. If you are in a position to help today with a donation to support ARC’s work, please do. Every donation makes a difference.
And, if you are in a position to volunteer, please sign up today. Opportunities are always available in ARC’s Rescue Center outside Nashville, TN, as well as sometimes nationally and beyond. We sometimes offer travel stipends.
