Two dozen animals rescued in urgent cruelty case
The ARC Field Team deployed to Chester County, Tennessee for the mass rescue of 24 surviving animals. ARC headed to the scene after receiving an urgent request for help from law enforcement.
Sadly, it became clear on arrival that the animals had been suffering on the property for a long time. The team discovered the remains of animals on site, including a kitten, a goat, and multiple dogs.
The 24 surviving animals — 12 dogs, 10 cats and kittens, one rabbit, and one goat — were in urgent need of immediate medical care, nourishment, and compassionate attention. Several were emaciated. Dogs were living mostly penned or on chains.
This vulnerable kitten, named Stella by our team today, is just one of the many animals removed from the scene for care and rehabilitation at ARC’s Rescue Center.

ARC’s Field Team rescued every surviving animal on site and also carefully documented the animals’ conditions and the scene to support the ongoing cruelty investigation.

Stella and the rest of the 24 survivors have been surrendered to ARC’s care and finally have their opportunity for a second chance. One of the dogs has already been rushed directly from the scene into emergency hospitalization. There, she is fighting for her life.
Each of these animals will receive:
- urgent veterinary and medical care
- nourishing food
- medical refeeding plans as prescribed
- daily socialization and enrichment
- eventual placement and transport into ARC’s placement network so they can each find the loving family they have always dreamed about.
