Operation Breaking Point: Emergency rescue of 100+ dogs and puppies in puppy mill raid
The Animal Rescue Corps Field Team deployed for an emergency rescue today on a puppy mill raid in Cheatham County, Tennessee. In response to an urgent request for help from local law enforcement, Animal Rescue Corps responded to ensure the safe extraction of every single dog and puppy on the property and to document cruelty for prosecution and ensure justice is served.

OPERATION BREAKING POINT
- Date: July 9, 2025
- Situation: Puppy Mill, Cruelty Case
- Number: 100+ dogs and puppies
- Priority: EMERGENCY
Upon arriving at the scene, the field team discovered the remains of at least one dog on site. High ammonia levels inside the home required rescuers to wear protective gear.
The dogs lived in extremely neglectful conditons, including several dogs found living in the property’s oven.
These dogs have spent their lives being bred, bought, sold, and treated like nothing more than commodities. But each one of the 100+ dogs rescued today is an individual deserving love, care, and a bright future.
With your help, their new lives begin now.
Each one of these animals will be relocated to ARC’s Rescue Center where they will receive much-needed medical and social care, as well as daily physical care and enrichment until they are ready to be placed within our network of vetted placement partners in high-adoption regions.
And, if you are in a position to volunteer, please sign up today. Opportunities are always available in ARC’s Rescue Center outside Nashville, TN, as well as sometimes nationally and beyond. We sometimes offer travel stipends.

I am extremely interested in adopting from the Operation Breaking Point mission. How can I do so?
Thank you for your interest and for choosing to adopt! Because of our focus on large-scale animal rescue, Animal Rescue Corps does not directly foster or adopt out the animals we rescue. As they are ready, we place the animals with pre-approved 501c3 non-profit placement partners where these animals will continue their journey to a loving home. You can see some of our placement partners here. https://animalrescuecorps.org/adopt/
Because of the volume of inquiries, volume of animals we rescue, and, sometimes, because of the preferences of our placement partners, we are broadly unable to provide placement information on specific animals. You can follow our social pages to see graduation posts tagging our incredible placement partners.
We encourage those looking to add a new companion animal to their family to visit our partners’ pages and local shelters and rescues and consider all the currently available animals. You will need to follow all application procedures and policies of the shelters and rescues handling the adoption; animals may not be immediately available for adoption upon placement. Best of luck finding your new best friend, and thank you always for choosing adoption.

Heartwrenching, and people just continue to buy these “designer” dogs with no thought of their origin. It makes me sick. I try to share this far and wide when I can. Thank you for always stepping up.
Heard about the Joelten, TN situation today. Asking my ARC to put a link for adoption when available.
We currently have a Yorkie and two Morkies ages 4 (as of May) 8 (in Ausit) and 11 (this month). The oldest was saved from a puppy mill in Minnesota – born with loose joints and has lived a beautiful life with us.
Encouraging everyone to be a part of the solution and help them however you can – donation – volunteer – or offer them a new home.

I would like to adopt one of these rescue dogs & many thanks to the Animal Rescue Corps.
The link said it would provide a list of shelters that rescued dogs were taken to. But I can’t locate any of the shelters on any list.
We only have rescues in our family and gladly open our hearts and home to another. Can drive to Tennessee from home outside St.Louis without any problem.

Humans are capable of the most vicious cruelty. Who is responsible for this abuse? They should be very publicly shamed and held to account lawfully, tried and incarcerated upon guilty finding. Thanks to the rescuers.
I agree animal abuse should be punishable in every state. It is in Florida. An innocent creature that can’t speak for themselves, and would not even bite the cruel person abusing them. The poor pups probably even wagged their tails when they seen the cruel people. I have other names for them, I can’t say. This is so sad. 😢
Where are these pups available for adoption? Where and when? Thank you.

Do you need someone to foster to adopt or just foster? I could take a mother with babies or 1 or 2. My request would be for females only. I live in Hillsboro Tennessee. I would be willing to come to Galatin. I would just really love to help.

This cruelty angers me sooo terribly. I feel sooo saddened for these innocent fur babies. They don’t even know what love from a human is. I don’t how these cruel people can abuse these precious babies. Dogs, cats and more make me feel warm and fuzzy to hold them, love them , give them the things they need and most of what they like and want and feed them and give them fresh water every day. I can’t even imagine being cruel to them, just for breeding purposes and money. Disgusting to me and I hope you find these criminals and send them to prison for the maximum punishment!!!! Thank you for loving and caring for all these animals and rescuing them moving forward to giving them a great loving forever home. They will be happy some day in the arms of a loving family and I am praying for them. God Bless you all for saving these poor precious babies. Thank you sooo much for caring!!! Patricia

I would like to know if any of these beautiful angels will transported to go out for adoption in the Pennsylvania area. I just recently retired early and would absolutely love to spoil and pamper 2 furbabes . My heart breaks for all these beautiful angels and would give them a furever loving home. We had 3 furbabes that have all passed in the past 8 years , it’s been 4 years since and I have so much time, love and patience to give to 2 of these beautiful angels. Thank you. Dolores Curry

Dogs have emotions and each little sould deserves so much love
unlike the sick demented people who prioritize greed over everything
THEY should be put into a cage given nothing to do for months, no bath
starved and sold to the highest bidder and then only maybe they would get it
Where can these precious dogs be adopted? Please advise.
