Over a dozen dogs rescued in a small town in rural Tennessee
ARC’s Field Team deployed for an emergency rescue at the urgent request of Selmer, TN law enforcement. A resident recently released from jail, with a long history of letting his dogs run loose, agreed to surrender his animals into ARC’s care. Kept in a storage shed, these dogs, over a dozen in number, live in cluttered and dangerous conditions and suffered from a lack of veterinary and physical care.
SELMER POLICE DEPARTMENT
Law enforcement arranged for the resident to keep one dog, and Animal Rescue Corps is having her mammary tumors removed and her spay surgery done, as well as a comprehensive vetting, before she is returned. Law enforcement will be keeping an eye on her.
The remaining 13 dogs are en route to ARC’s Rescue Center outside Nashville, TN, to start new lives with bright futures.
