Large-scale rescue of 36 dogs and puppies, shot, hit by cars, neglected, and in urgent need of rescue.

Animal Rescue Corps’ Field Team deployed for their second emergency rescue in four days in response to an urgent request. As soon as they arrived at the scene, the team found over three dozen dogs and uncontrolled breeding. Subsequently, the team discovered that the dogs had run loose on the property with little to no individual care, seeking shelter under cars and in piles of clutter.

In addition to the risks presented by lack of care and neglect, several of the dogs had been hit by cars on the nearby road. Furthermore and worse yet, several had been shot and killed by a neighbor who lured the dogs onto his property just to shoot them.

In addition, the surviving dogs reproduced quickly. In the meantime, litters of nursing puppies and pregnant mothers took shelter throughout the property. As the ARC team arrived, they found one of the mother dogs, Frankie, giving birth to her litter in the midst of all the debris and chaos.

Although the property residents requested help from local animal control for years, no help arrived. When local animal resources don’t have the space and resources to help large numbers of neglected animals all at once, ARC and our supporters step in. Because of your help, their new lives begin now.

Following this emergency rescue, each one of these animals will be relocated to ARC’s Rescue Center. After that, they will there receive much-needed medical and social care, as well as daily physical care and enrichment until they are ready. Finally, they will be placed within our network of vetted placement partners in high-adoption regions.
