Operation OK Corral: the emergency rescue of 67 dogs in need after puppy mill closure

ARC’s Field Team traveled today to Oklahoma for Operation OK Corral,  deployed on the urgent rescue of 67 dogs after a puppy mill closure. A puppy mill is a high-volume commercial breeding operation that prioritizes profit over the well-being of animals. A puppy mill is a place of suffering. The 67 dogs from this mill included English Bulldogs, Papillions, Bichon Frises, Shih Tzus, “designer” mixes, and more. Sadly, many of them suffered from untreated conditions consistent with long-term neglect.

These dogs have been raised, sold, and bred for profit, with little regard for their wishes or needs. Now, each one of them will be relocated to ARC’s Rescue Center where they will receive much-needed medical and social care, as well as daily physical care and enrichment until they are ready to be placed within our network of vetted placement partners in high-adoption regions.

With your help, their new lives begin now.
