Animal Rescue: 23 hoarded dogs saved from dangerous filth and neglect

ARC’s Field Team deployed for their third urgent animal rescue in eight days on a heartbreaking case in rural Tennessee. The team arrived on the scene of Operation Countdown to find 23 dogs living in a ramshackle trailer in abject filth and neglect. Trash and debris littered the structure. There were puppies found covered in waste.

Deep in rural Tennessee, these dogs had no other options. Local rescues tried to help, placing a few here and there, but in their grim conditions the dogs reproduce faster than they can be locally placed.

New Year’s Eve is a time when people look ahead to making the next year better. Because of the compassion of our generous donors and volunteers, Animal Rescue Corps had the opportunity to make life better for every single one of these neglected dogs. ARC will safely extract each of these dogs for transport to ARC’s Rescue Center, where they will receive the urgent care they need.

With your help, their new lives begin now. And right now, your donation can be matched through year-end until our $45,000 matching challenge is met.

Thanks to the generosity of Jere Hinman, Dunlap & Kyle Tire Co. and Gateway Tire Co., and an anonymous donor, your gift can do 2x the good right now. If you are in a position to help today with a donation to support ARC’s work, please do. Every donation makes a difference.

And, if you are in a position to volunteer, please sign up today. Opportunities are always available in ARC’s Rescue Center outside Nashville, TN, as well as sometimes nationally and beyond. In addition, we sometimes offer travel stipends.
